Westmere Butchery in Auckland has taken out New Zealand’s top sausage award for the second year in a row.
It's the Supreme Award winner of the Devro Great New Zealand Sausage Competition.
The Chicken, Leek and Bacon snarler has beaten over 500 other entries from 90 producers around the country.
Westmere Butchery store manager Glenn McKendry invented it but told Mike Hosking he's not a genius.
"It’s a team effort, we all work together and everyone comes up with different combinations, which we tweak as we go by.”
