For all those restaurants and councils struggling with a seagull problem, there could be a work around in the form of six figure canine solution.
The Sydney Opera House has just renewed a contract with a border collie and kelpie dog training company after four years running along the restaurant strip to scare away seagulls.
The contract is worth a bit more than $375,000.
Oamaru have had a seagull problem for years now and they've tried everything from spikes, laser cannons and raptor noise devices but nothing has worked.
