Banning unvaccinated children from preschools might save money, but at least one early childhood education organisation says it wouldn't make kids safer.

LISTEN ABOVE: Mike Hosking talks to ChildForum chief executive Dr Sarah Alexander, about weather unvaccinated kids should be banned from childcare centres or not.

Malcolm Turnbull wants 'no jab, no play' rules rolled out across Australia.

ChildForum chief executive Dr Sarah Alexander said the Government would save money on education about vaccinating, because it would be compulsory.

But she told Mike Hosking teachers at early childhood centres may not be immunised.

"Whooping cough can be transmitted by adults, by the adults who are caring for the babies, and babies, young babies, don't have immunisation against whooping cough."
