There are concerns that the vaccine rollout plan is not good enough for the aged care sector.
Currently those in aged care and their nurses are only in the third group to receive the vaccine, only being bumped up to the first group if there is a major outbreak.
Oceania Healthcare say the government should be prioritising the most vulnerable, especially as there are three times as many residential care beds as there are hospital beds, minimising the risk of hospitals filling up quickly.
