The ACT party wants to give cash for scanning in and saving lives.
The party is proposing a more than $5 million fund that gives out cash prizes to get more people using the Covid tracer app.
Record keeping will become mandatory seven days after the next alert level change.
ACT Party leader David Seymour told Mike Hosking the policy would help Kiwis use the app.
“You got to be in to win and I hope that we get a lucky ticket and they decide to take it on. Look, it’s a kind of practical thinking that I think the government should be taking up.”
