Butchers, bakers and greengrocers can make up for a lack of foot traffic by trading online - something that's only recently been cleared up.
Many had shut up shop but some took a risk and continued trading via their website.
Westmere Butchery owner Dave Rossiter told Mike Hosking they have a website and while they weren't a hundred percent sure, they continued business.
He says it's a community based service and they feel it's their duty to do it.
