Drought-stricken farmers in the north will soon get the financial assistance they've been asking for.
The Government is handing out half a million dollars for farmers in the worst hit areas - mostly helping with stock feed.
Agriculture Minister, Damien O'Connor, told Mike Hosking mayors are in the best position to know where the money needs to go.
