Frustration from retailers and restaurants at the latest extension of Auckland's lockdown restrictions.
Waikato will move to Step Two of Alert Level Three at midnight tonight -- meaning shops can open, but bars, restaurants and hairdressers cannot.
But Auckland won't follow suit for at least another week.
Dallas Pendergrast, owner of Auckland's Glenfield Mall told Mike Hosking the decision is disappointing to businesses that are prepared to operate safely.
“We’ve got our signage up, we’ve got our distancing rules in place, we’ve got sanitisers, we’ve got QR codes, we’ve got everything ready to go and have done for a long time.”
