We are one step closer to a top quality rugby stadium in Christchurch.

The council has signed off on the $472 million investment case for the multi use arena.

It means work on the site could start as early as the middle of next year with an eye to be finished by 2024.

The team that would benefit most out of the new stadium is the Crusaders and their CEO Colin Mansbridge joined Mike Hosking to discuss the exciting news.
