Chris Hipkins admits there is still work to do convincing parents their children should be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The vaccine roll-out for five to 11-year-olds is set to start next month, pending MedSafe approval.
But new Ministry of Health research shows a third of caregivers are against or unsure about their children under 12 being vaccinated.
The Covid-19 Response Minister told Mike Hosking providing good information should address a lot of that hesitancy.
“I’m a parent myself, I understand, parents are very careful with their kids, for very good reason.”
