There may not be a more famous astronaut in the modern era than Chris Hadfield.

The Canadian first became a fighter pilot in the late 1970s, but had his sights higher.

Hadfield completed his first space mission in 1995 and eventually became the commander of the International Space Station.

He became a household name by chronicling life in space on social media, and recording and releasing the first album from space.

Now he's turning his attention to writing, with his debut novel The Apollo Murders out now.

Chris Hadfield joined Mike Hosking.
