Charles and Camilla are visiting the Waitangi treaty grounds.
Historian and treaty expert Paul Moon joins Mike Hosking to discuss Prince Charles and Camilla's plans in New Zealand today.
The pair are visiting the Waitangi treaty grounds, where they will be welcomed with a powhiri and take part in a tour and tree planting ceremony.
The historic visit is the first in 25 years by a member of the royal family.
A haka was performed by local school children.
Moon says although the visit is symbolic, it has no bearing on present-day Treaty relationships.
"Constitutionally it's of no significance whatsoever."
