Children are said to be at risk from misconceptions about the dangers of vaping.
A Cancer Society survey has found 90 percent of secondary schools had students vaping during school time, and almost one in 10 primary schools.
Researcher Candace Bagnall told Mike Hosking it's easy for children to get hold of e-cigarettes.
She says a lot of parents think it's safe so they don't mind if their kids are vaping.
“Schools all around the world are struggling with this issue because it's happened so quickly."
