Questions are being raised over how Jacinda Ardern was unaware allegations against a Labour staffer were of a sexual nature, when many in the media knew.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says she didn't know the accusations against a staffer were of a sexual nature.
Labour Party President Nigel Haworth claims he didn't know either.
Political editor Barry Soper says the handling of what happened at the party's youth camp last year was appalling.
He told Mike Hosking the way the Labour Party has been dealing with theses matters is a big issue - and party president Nigel Haworth is unlikely to recover from it.
Soper says many in the media received an email two months ago from a woman representing 12 complainants, and naming the man alleged to be responsible.
"I do wonder where the Prime Minister's been for the past month when the media have been talking about it all along."
