Russian government hackers have likely targeted New Zealand.
That's according to the GCSB, which has linked the Russian government to four major international cyber campaigns since 2015.
It supports the UK's assessment that Russia's military General Staff Main Intelligence Directorate was behind the campaigns.
Director-General Andrew Hampton says New Zealand organisations were not directly affected by the campaigns
Despite that, he told Larry Williams we still need to be wary.
"The actors who are behind those attacks, which is Russian military intelligence, we've got what is called indicators or signs that they have been seeking to get on New Zealand networks as well."
National's condemning Russia for the attacks, and leader Simon Bridges says Russia needs to be held to account.
"I think what Russia has done is despicable, and the National Party condemns Russia's acts in this area."
