This week’s ASB Good as Gold winner is Leigh Rosanoski. Her nominator writes: “Leigh’s motto is 'changing our world one act at a time'. She pioneered the random acts of kindness movement in Palmerston North 2 years ago, by approaching strangers in the street and paying for their parking or coffee with the hope that this would inspire others to follow.

The idea caught on so she formed a group called the Kind Hearts Movement, which rosters people to supply food to families in the local children's ward and neonatal unit, and breakfast at two local primary schools.

Leigh has started all of this with her own money in her own time, but has now got to the point where she needs to fundraise to ensure all her projects remain operational. Her nominator suggested that the ASB could help her by providing some ingredients for her baking collective.
