This week’s ASB Good as Gold winners are the teachers at the Johnsonville Special Education Unit. They were nominated by Rachel who writes “Our family instantly grew on the day our 6 year old son Erik, who has autism, started at this school. It's hard to articulate just how special these ladies are, and how they truly go above and beyond the call of duty. They treat him with kindness, warmth and respect. They always look at the things he can do and never the things he can’t do - they don't treat him as a child with a disability but as a boy who has great potential.

I would dearly love to be able to give each and every one of them something nice this Christmas to show our appreciation. I am a mother of six so our resources don't stretch to grand gifts, and 'thank you' doesn't come close to conveying how much they are appreciated.”
