The financial stress of lockdown is beginning to hit many New Zealanders almost two weeks into Alert Level 4.
ANZ has seen the number of people seeking personal help double from 15 to 30 calls a day.
But New Zealand Chief Executive Antonia Watson told Mike Hosking there’s definitely not the same sense of panic from people as there was last lockdown.
“I think people are more tuned to how this might play out and have prepared themselves for a little bit. It doesn’t mean there aren’t pockets where we’re seeing businesses that might’ve already been struggling but they're starting to hit their limits.”
