Police hope things will run more smoothly this time around at the Covid checkpoints between Level Four and Level Three, south of Auckland. 

Commissioner Andrew Coster told Mike Hosking  five checkpoints are operating along the border. 

"We are quite dependent on good business documentation, and that will allow us to flow through the checkpoints and the dedicated freight lanes."
