Should parents who primarily look after their kids get more money in the case of a break up?

Children's commissioner Andrew Becroft says it time to change the act to let parents who are responsible for their children in a breakup get a better deal under property relationship laws.

"I think we should start with a clear statement that the well being and best interests of the children are a prime consideration."
