A study shows people are gambling more and more often - thanks to the lockdown.
The Australian Gambling Research Centre reports the number of frequent online gamblers has gone up, with 11 percent more people placing bets more than four times per week.
Men aged 18 to 34 increased their median spend from almost $700, to $1000 per month.
Problem Gambling Foundation spokesperson Andree Fraude told Mike Hosking it's the same for New Zealand.
She says Westpac reported consistently high daily transactions during lockdown for lotto tickets and betting.
