There's growing calls for additional regulations around feral dogs - and a recent attack has sparked renewed debate.
A woman was killed in Northland's Kaihu yesterday by dogs, and the attack has prompted concern and outrage.
NZ First MP Shane Jones says the character of the owners involved is more feral, and there needs to be a no-tolerance policy.
"What else do we need to happen, before we as a community - quite apart from the politicians - move in and do what my dad used to do? If you have a stray, feral dog, it got shot."
