The Brits may be disappointed, but Croatians are ecstatic about their move into the FIFA World Cup final.

Croatians around the country got up early to watch the semi final match against Britain this morning, which saw Croatia win 2-1 in over time.

President of the Croatian Cultural Society Len Stulich told Andrew Dickens there were almost 200 people in their hall in West Auckland - though he could not get as excited as his fellows.

"There were various chants but I've been struggling with a lost voice all day!"

It is the first time Croatia has made it into the final.
