New Zealand’s infrastructure is unable to keep up with our increasing population.Â
Net migration figures are sitting at approximately 2-3% of the population per annum, a total of 120 thousand people entering the country every year.Â
However, the spending allocated to improving housing supply, infrastructure, health, and education has not kept pace with the increasing number of migrants.Â

She said that the incoming workforce can be used to address our infrastructure deficit, which would in turn keep these skilled workers in New Zealand as opposed to leaving once a project is complete.Â
