WEEK THAT WAS

Revelations of Colin Craig's inappropriate behaviour has seen his Conservative Party implode.

Board members say they have seen "poems", sexts, and letters from Craig to Rachel MacGregor, his press secretary.

At a press conference which looked more like a freak show, Craig denied that he sexually harassed MacGregor.

MacGregor countered by claiming that there were clear inaccuracies and Craig was trying to frame her as a mistress.

MacGregors challenge to Craig to lift the confidentiality agreement has apparently been agreed to but what we have is silence.

If the objective was to destroy Craig, the mission has already been completed.

Craig and his Conservative Party is dead.

The only person who doesn't get that is Colin Craig.

Kumar

The verdicts in the Arun Kumar murder trial do not represent justice.

If you rob a dairy and stab someone to death in the process -then its murder, and if your standing at the door and part of the hit job, its accessory to murder.

In this case, one cops a manslaughter verdict and the other walks free.

I can understand the Kumar families disgust.

On another level was the family abuse and neglect these kids have suffered through their lives.

If kids live in a drug house...or with so called parents in and out of prison..... changing from home to home...school to school.... booze and violence in everyday life.... it sets them up for a life of crime. Inter-generational welfare dependent, dysfunctional families.

The problem is low life scum with kids.

Swney

Former Heart of the City boss Alex Swney got 5 years 7 months for fraud charges laid by the IRD and SFO. Swney will be out in under 2. No justice in this case either. Unless the authorities go after assets in trusts, white collar crime pays.

Global Mode

ISP's are closing down Global Mode after a deal with broadcasters. Global Mode gets around geo-blocking to access content from overseas providers. Customers will simply Google and migrate to the countless other sites that legally offer the service.

Auckland Council

No question Auckland Council is dysfunctional. The budget was passed but when you have councilors like Mike Lee supporting the budget "deeply flawed and odious as it is"..... there's a problem. There will be a rout of council next year.
