Prince Harry looks to be having a ball in New Zealand. The country loves Harry.
You can see by the masses that have turned out to see him, to touch him.
He is a likeable the young man. He's got his mother in him. He's warm and genuine.
Harry's visit has been great PR for the monarchy.

The Reserve Bank’s move on property investors has been largely scoffed at by those with an interest in maintaining the out of control market.
I don't listen to anyone with a vested interest and at the top of the list is the investors and the real estate industry.
Buried in the 62 page Reserve Bank report is the definition on just who is a property investor and an expectation that the IRD will target anyone with a property that is rented out.
The bank believes that the intent is for a capital gain and they want the IRD. to deal to that.
Somebody has to. The government don't want to go there.

There has been the on-going fumbling around the Blues coach John Kirwan.
The Blues administration is looking rather amateurish.
The Blues have failed for 3 years.
Kirwan looks to have convinced them that he's on the brink of something special.
The establishment look to be rallying around Kirwan.
I go back to that great league coach Graham Lowe who said that you can either coach or you can't. He reckons Kirwan can't coach. The last 3 years would add weight to that.

The Tories have won another 5 years in the UK.
This has the left in a spin. Dropkicks like Charlotte Church and Russell Brand took to the streets and twitter to call David Cameron a dick head. The UK was going to hell in a hand basket. The left don't get it. If you can't communicate, if you can't be fiscally responsible and can't attract the centre - your dead. Socialist welfare type policies don't cut it. Loons like Church and Brand are a turnoff to the majority of voters. Nasty doesn't work.

The Aussie budget was about survival.
Last year's budget attempted to reign in the deficit. This year, because voters didn't like cuts, the Abbott government decided, even with a worse deficit spiralling out of control, to throw billions to placate the voters.
In the end, you get what you ask for. Australia is not Greece, but they’re having a good go at it.

ACC premiums are coming down but not just yet.
Angry Andrew Little, who accused the government of deceit and lying over the surplus, wants the lower premiums right away.
Labour left ACC with a $4.8 billion hole and its taken 6 years to get the books back into shape. Just saying.
ACC has $31 billion in reserves. Little is now talking about a pay-as-you-go model. That is code for we are looking to raid acc.

We had the Auckland Council essentially write new laws on alcohol restrictions.... others will follow.
Off-licences and Supermarkets won't be able to sell alcohol before 9am and after 9pm.
It’s all designed to crack down on drunken louts.
Responsible people, the great majority will just have to suck it up.
