"We can't go on costing us and the country so much money in these difficult times"
That's the thoughts of Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters on the government's decision to keep the country, outside of Auckland, in alert level 2 for another week.
"The approach that has been taken is not having regard to the consistency of evidence" says Peters who believes if the same level of inconsistency is maintained then it could continue on until Christmas.
Heather du Plessis-Allan spoke to the Deputy Prime Minister and asked him why the government is pushing ahead with the latest restrictions.
