Some western Auckland communities remain largely underwater - after heavy rain and extensive floods.
Dozens of homes have been evacuated, mostly in Henderson Valley and Kumeu.
There are power outages and road closures in the Waikatere Ranges, Huapai and Kumeu - including State Highway 16 through Kumeu.
Rachel Kelleher Auckland Emergency Management Deputy Controller says fortunately the worst of the weather has passed for today, but she also cautions that it's unlikely all roads will be reopened by the end of the day.
