An immigration expert is calling an active investor visa anti-East Asian.
Announced by the Government this week, it includes a harder English language test.
Former Immigration Minister Tuariki Delamere told Heather du Plessis-Allan when he was minister he never required the test because if any investor needed English they would hire interpreters.
He's not sure why it's now being insisted all applicants are capable of speaking level 5 English.
“Which excludes probably 99.99 percent of Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, Japanese and Koreans.”
