There's a warning to go through official and trustworthy financial services if you're finding yourself in financial strife at this time.

With many job losses and a lack of income, there will be a lot of questions and help needed.

Tim Barnett, chief executive of Fincap who runs the Money Talks hotline, told Heather du Plessis-Allan that there is worry that people aren't accessing the wage subsidies that they are entitled to. 

"Longer term, we're worried that people whoa re already loaded up with debt are just going to find the reality crippling." 

He says people should track their expenses and avoid taking on any more debt, and to get creative with managing their day to day living.
