National MPs are calling for the person who leaked Party correspondence to front up.

The Party Caucus met in Parliament today, debriefing on its worst election result since 2002.

Leader Judith Collins says the release of an email from National MP Denise Lee, criticising revelations of a plan to review Auckland Council, cost the Party about five points.

Northland MP Matt King, is urging the leaker to make themselves known.

"Come out and front u. Tell us who you are so we can kick you out."

Former Northcote MP Dan Bidois, who was beaten on Saturday night by Labour's Shanan Halbert, says that person needs to quit.

"I think encouraging a culture where people can get away with leaks is unacceptable."

Ousted National Tukituki MP Lawrence Yule says he partly blames the leaker for losing his job.

"I blame the culture of leaking that sort of settled in this whole time as a real problem for our caucus, and I've never seen anything like it really."
