High Performance Sports NZ has announced which sports will get funding for the next four years.

Basketball were big winners on the day, with equestrian on the other end on the spectrum.

Mental wellbeing also received $7.4 million.

And our panelists talk through their highlights and lowlights of the sporting year.

Cricket was a big talking point of the year, with Ajaz Patel’s ten-wicket haul and the World Test Championship among the highlights.
