National wants to introduce at Primary Sector Visa to provide workforce certainty and help skilled and experienced migrants achieve residence.

It was one several proposals the party launched for discussion at Fieldays.

National leader Simon Bridges told Heather du Plessis-Allan that one of the issues the primary sector has is getting skilled workers.

He says there is four per cent unemployment and half of our exports come from food.

"Getting skilled workers is one of the big issues the primary sector faces, a visa would provide the workers with more certainty."
