Hawke's Bay growers have laid out a plan to address the seasonal worker shortage.

Hastings Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst and Napier Mayor Kirsten Wise met with Immigration Minister Kris Faafoi at Parliament last week on behalf of the region.

Hazlehurst says they want to see Recognised Seasonal Employer workers from Covid-free Pacific Island countries accommodated in a government-run isolation facility in Hawke’s Bay.
