In a world where more and more concerts are being cancelled organisers are forging ahead with next year's WOMAD festival.

The event, which takes place in Taranaki, will kick off in mid-March.

It'll feature a 100 per cent Kiwi based lineup.

WOMAD Spokesperson Rebecca Johnson told Andrew Dickens they're hopeful the outbreak will be under control by then.

“We definitely felt a huge hole in Taranaki not having WOMAD in 2021, and it’s just something we really felt we need to push ourselves to do next year.”
