So, the Government is expected to announce a new congestion charge for Auckland next week. 

In an attempt to reduce congestion by up to 12 percent, comparing the result to school holiday level traffic all year round. 

The new charge could be implemented within the CBD as soon as 2025 and expanded into other areas by 2028.
