Defence Force Minister: We still plan on evacuating people stuck in Afghanistan

The Defence Force Minister denies betraying the Afghan interpreters left behind.

Peeni Henare told Heather du Plessis-Allan they still plan on evacuating people stuck in Afghanistan.

“We’ve made it clear that we’re continuing to commit to working with our partners, see how we might be able to do that. The Chief of Defence Force has also said that our people are still in the United Arab Emirates.”
