Seasonal workers allowed into New Zealand, but questions still remain

The Government's opening up a number of new one-way travel bubbles with the Pacific Islands.

From September, seasonal workers from covid-free Samoa, Vanuatu and Tonga can come to New Zealand without having to quarantine.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is confident the shift will help ease the pressure in the horticulture industry.

However, General Manager of the Yummy Fruit Company Paul Paynter told Heather du Plessis-Allan it's not yet clear how visas will be managed.
