Labour and Green city councillors are being used in NZTA advertisements, ahead of the local body election.

The ads have run as recently as September 2^nd and were branded with both NZTA and council logos.

Pattrick Smellie from BusinessDesk agrees this is “dodgy”.

“The number of candidates who are standing for local body election who are involved in this- there’s only three of them.”
