An Australian senator is facing backlash after a confrontation outside a strip club.
Lidia Thorpe has been banned from the club for life after a verbal conflict with a group of men, while celebrating a friend's 50th on Sunday.
Australian correspondent Oliver Peterson says it's put her reputation in doubt.
"An Australian senator out until the smaller hours of the morning at a strip club- horrible look. And look, lots of politicians today are being asked as well- is she fit enough to be in Parliament?"
Petersen says too many politicians are afraid to speak on the subject.
