National MPs are tight lipped on how many contenders there may be for the Party's leadership.
Hours after the shock resignation of Todd Muller, Caucus members arrived in Wellington for a meeting to decide on who'll lead the party into September's election.
Political commentator Neale Jones told Heather du Plessis-Allan he is picking Judith Collins to be the new National Party leader.
"You need someone who is sharp, politically savvy and who can hit the ground running."
Senior Consultant Brigitte Mortenalso believes Judith Collins is the front-runner to take the job.
"One of the key reasons is those who are over 65 years old who moved across to Labour post Covid-19, they will definitely move back to Judith Collins as leader.
"She's stable and experienced, and people know she can get stuff done."
