Western Australia has stuck a pin in the trans-Tasman bubble.
The governments of New Zealand and federal Australia are allowing quarantine-free flights between our countries from April 19.
But Western Australia state officials have announced they'll still require Kiwi travellers to spend two weeks in hotel quarantine.
Correspondent Murray Olds told Heather du Plessis-Allan there are no hopes of sneaking across the border from another state.
"Anyone entering Western Australia still has to get a special pass from the Police - you have to fill out a health declaration."
