Transport Minister Michael Wood is tooting his own horn at a 15 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency for newly-imported cars over the past three months.
He states it’s proof the new Clean Car Discount is alive and well and doing its job.
He told Heather du Plessis-Allan the figures are clear and are seeing record numbers since the scheme began on July 1.
“It’s a good start, there’s a bit of time to go, but the indication at this stage is very positive and it’s helping Kiwis get into cleaner cars at a cheaper price.”
