Turbulence for Air New Zealand, with at least 1200 unionised cabin crew members voting to strike this year.
The union says they work across international, domestic and regional routes - and have been pushing for better pay and rosters for months.
Air New Zealand says it's meeting union reps this week hoping to get closer to agreement.
E tū Director, Michael Wood, says members plan to strike before year's end, but not in the seven days before Christmas.
"That's because they do want to progress this issue, they do want to get an agreement, and they'd like to get that in place before the end of this year."
