The UK is the latest country to deal with some serious inflation.

The consumer price index went up 4.2 per cent in October, which is up from 3.1 per cent the previous month.

NZ Herald Business Editor at Large Liam Dann told Heather du Plessis-Allan it’s not a shock, but it’s interesting.

“You’re getting the reverse here, another version in the US, and what it’s a reminder of really that is this is a big, powerful, global phenomenon that sort of transcends what governments can do within their own boundaries.”
