2Degrees’s attempt to keep things light-hearted in an Internet outage may have backfired.
The broadband was down for some parts of Auckland last night so some customers asked for compensation.
The company replied saying customers can have 8 cents back for their lost time.
2Degrees customer Krittibas Dasgupta told Heather du Plessis-Allan he thought the message was patronising.
“The original post itself on which I commented was also a bit unprofessional in the way that they said ‘It’s going to come back faster and you can have a bag of chips.’”
