The Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is promising changes to the fuel market, eventually.

The Commerce Commission's draft report into the industry's found it's not as competitive enough.

But Kris Faafoi told Heather du Plessis-Allan they won't be making firm decisions until the final report is released in December.

"We're gonna make sure the market is competitive, which will make a fairer price for Kiwis at the pump."
