The construction industry is fighting to make it onto the Government’s new critical worker list that was announced yesterday.
The Close Contact Exemption Scheme will allow workers who meet certain criteria to continue working provided they produce daily negative RAT tests.
While some construction workers will be able to meet these criteria, the building industry federation is arguing that the sector as a whole should be considered a critical service.
