Maori and Pasifika can turn up to get Covid vaccines without a need to book if they go to a Whanau Ora vaccination provider.
The aim is to lift the low number of vaccination numbers for Maori and Pasifika.
Whanau Ora Commissioning Agency CEO John Tamihere told Heather du Plessis-Allan that around 35 percent of people who turn up for Covid vaccines aren't booked because they don't know how the system works.
"The system is geared for those that really are informed, know how to work the system and as consequence for the last sort of four to five months, those have been the numbers."
