Just three weeks out from the Rugby World Cup, there's more trouble for Spark Sport.

Technical problems have again marred content from the English Premier League, with the live stream affected for the Newcastle United-Watford match.

There were also technical glitches during a Manchester United-Southampton game.

Additionally, the highlight packages for the eight games played on Sunday morning were late, then when they did arrive they had no audio.

Spark Sport head Jeff Latch told Andrew Dickens it was just unfortunate.

"Our platform provider had made a change to the network on Thursday and it impacted on a number of clients around the world, including us."

He says they're making sure it won't happen again.

"I apologise to all the Premier League fans that got up in the early hours of the morning to watch the matches, because that wasn't good enough."
